SPRING IS HERE!
Join Paradise Recreation and Park District and the Monarch Fellowship Paradise Hub for a day of sowing seeds to support monarch butterflies, pollinators, and your community. We will provide all the supplies, and education to build confidence with sowing seeds in pots, and your own backyard. The seed of the day will be narrowleaf milkweed. Everyone is welcome and no prior experience sowing seeds is needed. This opportunity is hosted in partnership with Neighbor-To-Neighbor.
What is the Monarch Fellowship Hub? Check out more information here ----> https://monarchfellowship.org/
The seed of the day will be narrowleaf milkweed. This species of milkweed is a crucial host plant for monarch caterpillars, providing essential nutrients for their development. The monarch population has declined significantly, and we are here to help monarchs one host plant at a time! We can support their cause by restoring habitat right at homes through native gardening. Everyone is welcome and no prior experience sowing seeds is needed.
