Track and Field - Conditioning
When: Thursdays, April 20–May 18, 4:30-5:30pm
Location: Paradise High School Track
Instructor: Recreation staff
Ages: 7 to 12 years
This program will introduce and familiarize children to the sport of track and field. We will practice running, throwing, long jumping, and basic fitness training.
The participants will be encouraged to go at their own pace and not be pushed, as we want them to enjoy track and have fun. Each class will typically include stretching, warm ups, running, jumping or throwing, discussion, and a cool down. Children should meet at the Paradise High School Track by 4:25pm with a water bottle and a light jacket for cool weather. In the event of rain, the class will be rescheduled.
