May contain: advertisement, poster, person, bicycle, transportation, vehicle, clothing, footwear, shoe, and helmet

Calling all Mountain Bikers and explorers of the universe!

Who- Mountian bikers of all ages, families, we invite you to join Paradise Recreation and Park District for a evening ride around Paradise Lake. If you plan on shredding the gnar, this is NOT the ride for you.

What- Riders will enjoy an easy paced ride on the eastern banks of Paradise Lake followed by a star tour presented by Scott Amick M.A.

Where- Paradise Lake, Lucretia Road - Start at the Picnic and Trailhead side and then travel to the end of the trail, a 4.0 mile ride. From the end of the trail, ride back to Boat Launch #2 for the Astronomy portion of the evening.

When- June 17th, 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Please arrive a little early to unload your bike, make a few friends, and get the lay of the land. The guided ride will leave the trailhead promptly at 6:30 pm.

Why- The ambient light polution at Paradise Lake is nearly non-existant after the sun goes down, which is a site to see in itself! Paradise Lake is beautiful at dusk and continues to treat participants to an amazing view of the stars - so we combined the two - mountain biking followed by stargazing. We know that there are so many recreation opportunities that the Lake provides, so we diversified the activity portion of the Astronomy event to include Mountain Biking on June 17th and Hiking on July 15th.

How- Pump up your tires and grab your helmets for an easy going evening ride around Paradise Lake. Please bring a headlamp and wear your helmets! You can register by clicking this link once it is live. This event is $25 per person.

Want to skip the Mountain Biking and head straight to the Astronomy? Totally cool - we offer a la carte registrations for the astronomy portion at this link, once it is live.
