BASKETBALL: Elementary
Join our beginning level recreational basketball program teaching boys and girls the basic fundamentals and skills of basketball. The program will include clinics, practices, and league games. Separate leagues will be formed for boys and girls at each grade level. Preliminary schedules will be given out at registration. Volunteer coaches needed. INSTRUCTOR: Recreation Staff

BASKETBALL SKILLS CLINICS
Get your game ready for this season by participating in these boys and girls basketball skills clinics that will be instructed by Paradise High School Varsity Basketball Coach Jack Danielson and staff. Both clinics are open to boys and girls in grades 4th through 8th. October 18th will feature fundamental shooting skills, and October 25 will concentrate on dribbling and passing skills. Paradise High School players will be on hand to help with instruction. INSTRUCTOR: Coach Danielson

Basketball: Little Hoopsters
This program will introduce boys and girls from 5 years old to 2nd grade to the sport of basketball. Emphasis will be on skill development and learning the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun atmosphere. Small sized baskets and balls will be used to aid in learning.

Flag Football: Elementary
Seven-person flag football with limited contact and special rules to direct the focus on learning the fundamentals of the game. Teams practice once a week at their schools and compete in weekly games. Parents interested in coaching should contact the recreation office at 872-6393.

In this new flag football program for grades 7th and 8th graders we will form teams at Paradise Intermediate and Pine Ridge Schools. Children from other schools are welcome to play as we can have more than one team per school. Seven people play on each side with special rules to keep the games fast paced and safe.
