Youth Sports and Fitness

For safety purposes, unless otherwise stated, the following classes are for the registered participants only. We ask you to leave your child in our care during class and to pick them up promptly when class is over. If minimum registration has not been met, class may be cancelled.


Tennis Lessons

Looking for a fun way to introduce your child or teenager to tennis or enable them to improve their skills? Come on out and learn the fundamentals of the game from U.S.T.A. certified tennis instructor Josh Hamilton. Please bring a racquet and one can of tennis balls to the first class.

Ages: Beginning to Intermediate, 10-15 years old
Date: Wednesdays - 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Session: April 11 – May 9
Location: Paradise High lower tennis courts.
Fee: $55 (member) $65 (non-member)
Youth Basketball

Little Hoopsters

This program will introduce boys and girls from 5 years old through 2nd grade to the sport of basketball. Emphasis will be on skill development, athletic awareness, and learning the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun atmosphere. Small baskets and balls will be used to aid in learning.

Instructor: Recreation Staff
Ages: Kindergarten (at least 5 yrs old) to 2nd Grade
Dates: Tuesdays, March 6–April 10, 6:30-7:30 pm.

Session: 5 weeks
Location: Pine Ridge School Gym

Tennis Camp

Tennis Camps

These week-long camps are a fun way for girls and boys from ages 8 to 17 years to learn the game of tennis or improve upon existing skills. Instructor Josh Hamilton is a U.S.T.A. certified tennis instructor with coaching and playing experience at the college level. Fundamental techniques will be stressed and each day will include competitive play.

Soccer Skills: Kids

This program will teach the skills and fundamentals of soccer in a fun filled environment. All skill levels are encouraged to come out and improve their game. Please see the following list of elementary schools for times and dates.

Cross Country

Track & Field Conditioning

This program will introduce and familiarize children to the sport of track and field. We will practice running and long jumping along with basic fitness training. The program will also include nutrition, stretching, physical fitness, and sportsmanship.

Days: Thursday – 4:30 – 5:30 pm
Session: April 12-May 17, 2018
Location: Paradise High School Track

Baseball: Tee Ball

This summer tee ball program is a great way to introduce your child to the sport of baseball while instilling a positive attitude toward the importance of physical fitness and sportsmanship. Children will learn through drills, scrimmages, and skill development in a camp-like setting.

Ages: 5 years old thru 2nd grade
Days: Tuesday / Thursdays 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Duration: 5 weeks
Session: June 12 – July 12pm
Location: Moore Road Ball Parks

Volleyball: Jr. High Camp

This is a wonderful opportunity for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade boys and girls to learn the game of volleyball or improve their skills while staying in shape. Join Paradise High School Volleyball Coach John Parks as he teaches you the fundamentals needed to become a better player.

Ages: 6th through 8th Grades
Days: Monday – Thursday – 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Session: July 16 – 19
Location: Pine Ridge School Gym
Fee: $50 (member) $60 (non-member)
