Youth Programs

For safety purposes, unless otherwise stated, the following classes are for the registered participants only. We ask you to leave your child in our care during class and to pick them up promptly when class is over. If minimum registration has not been met by 8 a.m. the first day of a session, the class may be cancelled.

Adventures In Art

Design and create colorful arts and crafts using watercolor. Discover how to compose a picture and use the elements fodesign to activate your art. A supply list will be available at registration.

Aquatic Park Camp

Join us in our day camp location adjacent to the swimming pool. This program will combine the adventure of day camp with the fun of swimming at the community pool. Crafts, archery, organized games, and special events will fill the summer weeks at Aquatic Park Camp. You may join us on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Your afternoon session fee will include entrance to the second swim session of the day. A concession stand will be available. Children must be 5 years old on or before first day they attend. A camp T-shirt is to be purchased at time of registration.

Summer Sewing Camp

A three day camp where the activity is sewing. You will learn pattern & fabric layout, cutting, hemming and much much more. Session I: 4 or 9 Patch Pillow. Session II: Beach-Pool Bag. Session III: Play-Garden Apron. Session IV: 9 Patch Quilt. Session V: Zipper Back Pack. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn a skill that will enhance your creative life. Sewing machines provided. A supply list will be available upon registration.

Camp Coutolenc

Located at Coutolenc Park in Magalia this outdoor day camp offers an exciting variety of outdoor activities including archery, crafts, camp cooking, sports and games, hiking, camp safety, and environmental awareness. Bus transportation provided. This program is supported by the Prestopino Family Fund with the Paradise Community Foundation.

Hawaiian Dance

Dance to the rhythm of the Islands!! This exciting class is designed for children who wish to learn the graceful art of Hula. Students will focus on learning basic footwork, hand gestures and some language for the beginning Hula. A perfect blend of
education, fitness, and fun! No previous dance experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing.

Ballet

This class introduces children to the fundamentals of ballet.

How To Boil Water

In this class you will learn the basics of cooking: reading a recipe, measuring ingredients properly and how to put a meal together. This class will also include recipes for easy and quick
meals. A supply fee of $15.00 is to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class.
