                               TEEN SPORTS


The RidgeCats are a competitive AAU basketball program for area boys and girls from the fifth grade through high school. This program stresses individual player development within the context of team play and is strongly grounded in basketball fundamentals. Teams will practice twice per week at various Paradise area gyms and will play a minimum of six weekend tournaments in the months of March through May of 2015. Registration and ALL fees are due by Thursday, March 5th at 5:00pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! Payments are being accepted now. Tryouts will be February 28th. Practices will begin the week of March 9th.
5th-12th grades
SESSION: March 16-May 24, 2015
FEE: $425 (with new uniform), $350 (if using old uniform).
Registration includes AAU membership card.


This is a recreational alternative for boys and girls in the 7th-9th grades. Small rosters will guarantee lots of playing time for all players. Teams will play a nine game schedule and practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Volunteer coaches needed.

This league is being planned for grades 6th through 8th in the Paradise and Magalia area. Teams will be organized by school and practices will be held at each school field. A league will be coordinated and officiated by the Paradise Recreation and Park District and games will be held on Wednesdays at the Moore Road Ball Parks. Players will receive a call from their coach regarding practice times. Teams will be planned at Paradise Charter Middle, Pine Ridge, Paradise Intermediate, Children’s Community Charter, and Achieve Charter. Parent coaches needed.

Football Schedule


This class at Tuscan Ridge Golf Club will teach the basic skills to youth golfers including grip, stance, ball position, and swing. The program will be instructed by Jay Berkowitz, Director of Instruction at Tuscan Ridge. Some clubs can be provided if needed.

Join instructor Josh Hamilton for five one-hour sessions designed to introduce the fundamentals of tennis. If you are just learning the game or have always wanted to pick up a racket, come learn all the basic strokes to get your tennis career started or improve your skills. Please bring your own tennis racket and get ready to have some fun.

This program will provide cross country running races that are open to individuals or school teams. Children that are in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to participate in this program. The running course will be set up at beautiful Bille Park with the start near the meadow area. There will be different race distances for the following grade levels: K-2nd, 3-5th, 6-7th, and 8th grade. Children can practice on their own or ask if their school will be forming a team.

Wrestling is a safe, fun sport that highly emphasizes strength, skill, and conditioning. Individuals will compete against others their own size in a controlled supervised setting. Program goal is to teach discipline, skills, and training necessary to develop a competitive wrestler. Tournaments are held on Saturdays.
