Gold Nugget Craft Faire 2010
This 32nd annual event will be held at the
newly renovated Terry Ashe Recreation
Center “under the pines”. See the variety
of crafts created by more than 100 artisans
from all over Northern California,
Oregon, Nevada and beyond. Musical
entertainment, demonstrations and food
will also be featured throughout the
weekend including three performances on
Sunday by that renowned yodeling cowboy,
Sourdough Slim. Artisan applications
will be available beginning Thursday, Jan.
15th.
Sign-ups begin in February for new
applicants.

Refunds: Cancellations must be made by 5pm Monday, April 19, 2010.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THAT TIME. The event will be held rain or shine.
PRE-REGISTRATIONS: Last year's participants may pre-register by submitting a completed application and fees before 5:00pm, Thursday, February 11, 2010.
OPEN REGISTRATION: Will begin TUESDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2010 at 9:00am and will continue to be accepted at the Paradise Recreation Center, 6626 Skyway until 5:00pm, Thursday, April 22, 2010, provided there is space available.
SELLER'S PERMIT: The California Board of Equalization requires us to send them your seller's permit number prior to the Faire. Be sure to list your permit number on your application. For those needing further information, call (800) 400-7115.
FOOD BOOTHS are limited. Preference will be given to local non-profit organizations, groups, and/or individuals. To avoid duplication on main food items (i.e., hot dogs, etc.), each group must list each item they will be selling and have it approved. Groups must display a sign with their non-profit group name. A representative from the Health Department will be attending the Faire and checking booths and food handling procedures. All groups are to handle all food items in a
safe, sanitary manner as required by Butte County Health Department guidelines.
SPACE SIZE: All spaces are outside and are 10" square with the exception of a few card table size spaces. All vendors must provide their own set up. Indoor spaces have been eliminated to accommodate more demonstrations and entertainers.
Banned Items include smoke bombs, stink bombs, silly string, commercially made toys and any other items that the Recreation Supervisors or staff deems a nuisance or inappropriate. Vendors selling any of the above items will be banned from future shows.
Identification of Spaces: Spaces will be identified by numbers or by PRPD staff. A MAP WILL BE POSTED AT THE OFFICE FOR YOUR INFORMATION. Staff will be available by 7:00am to assist participants.
Display Set Up: All displays will be set up between 7:00-9:00am, Saturday. Displays should be set up by 9:00am. Outdoor booths set up prior to 7:00am need to know exact location. ALL DISPLAY ITEMS ARE TO REMAIN UP UNTIL 5:00PM SATURDAY AND 4:00PM SUNDAY and be removed by 5:15pm Sunday.
Early set-up is permitted on Friday after 12:00pm.
ELECTRICAL OUTLETS are limited...most outdoor outlets will be used by food booths.
POSTERS/ "FOR SALE" SIGNS, etc. are all to fit on your table or booth, to be nicely made and in good taste.
PARKING SPACES will be limited. It would be best to find a parking space as soon as possible. Do not park in limited parking spaces or on the Skyway, as your car will probably be towed away...due to the parade (check posted times). If you need to unload items the night before, please make prior arrangements. Security will not be provided on Friday night. Staff will be on duty Saturday night, but PRPD will not be responsible for theft or damage to displays.
THE PARADE is scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday. Dates for the Gold Nugget Celebration and various activities are determined by the Gold Nugget Committee and are not under the control of the Paradise Recreation and Park District.
ENTERTAINMENT: Many entertainers will be performing throughout the weekend.
