CONNECTING TO THE WISDOM OF YOUR HEART-MIND

YOGA – Gentle, Fun & Therapeutic

This class is particularly recommended for seniors with low back, neck, hip, or knee challenges.  The instructor, herself dealing with fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, kyphosis, and scoliosis, knows personally the incredible benefits of Therapeutic Yoga.  Students will be gently coached in correct alignment will in each Asana (pose) and accompanying Pranayama (breath).  Meditational centering, excellent warm-ups, and careful guidance will help you avoid injuries.  Bring a yoga sticky mat, large towel and water bottle.  Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing.  You are encouraged to call the instructor at 873-2702.

TAE KWON DO

Students will learn the Chung Do Kwon style of Tae Kwon Do developing power, speed, focus, balance, and control through basics, forms, non-contact sparring, and other drills.  Tae Kwon Do is a great overall workout developing strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning.  The Chief Instructor is a 5th Degree Black Belt in the World Tae Kwon Do Association. ZUMBA

ZUMBA
Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it.  Who is Zumba@Fitness for everybody and everyone!
Each Zumba class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.  We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie burning dance fitness party.  Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba@ fitness classes are often called "exercise in disguise".  What are the benefits?  It is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness-cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome, each time you leave class.  Always bring water and a towel. Drop-ins welcome.

ZUMBA TONING

ZUMBA TONING
Combines muscle toning with original Latin based rhythms of Zumba.  This is a safe and effective redefining total body workout that combines light weights with fun Zumba moves and music.

INTRODUCTION TO TAI CHI & QI GONG

The low stress mindful movements of Tai Chi and Qi gong increase balance, flexibility, body awareness, health, and strength.  In this slower moving class students will build a good foundation and understanding of the Yang short forms choreographed body postures.  This class is well suited for beginning students and for fine tuning the more advanced student.  The instructor is a student of grand master Sam Tam.

TAI CHI QI GONG

Tai Chi and Qi Gong forms are choreographed movements set by the ancient Chinese to promote health, well-being, and longevity and have been proven to lower blood pressure, relieve stress, increase flexibility, stamina, balance, and awareness.  Students will work with the 37 Posture Yang Short Form and certain Qi Gong sets while also learning how to incorporate breath, intent, and body awareness.
